We started Midwest Roof and Solar for a simple reason: too many homeowners were getting burned by fly-by-night contractors and 1-800 sales operations. Storm chasers who collect a deposit and vanish. Call centers that treat your home like a transaction. We knew there was a better way, so we built the company we’d want to hire for our own homes. Midwest Roof and Solar is locally owned and locally accountable. We answer our phones. We show up when we say we will. And we treat every project like our name is on the line, because it is. When a warranty question comes up five or ten years from now, we’ll still be here to answer it. That’s the difference between a contractor passing through and a company that calls the Midwest home.

The second project manager was very unorganized and slow to respond. He kept forgetting details about the project, was very unorganized, and could not explain how the insurance process worked. During the entire project I needed to stay on top of the project manager and make sure he delivered what we agreed.
For my roofing project, the wrong color shingles were installed. The team did eventually install the correct shingles, but again this caused more delays and inconvenience. Also, the cleanup from shingling was very poor. Nails and metal pieces have been found on my lawn for months.
The siding project was mostly well done. However, the air vents for my attic were not properly installed and fell off within days. I have been trying to reach the Midwest team for months and have received no response. Fair warning to anyone considering Midwest – do not make your final payment until you have inspected everything. They took my money and did not complete the work.
